Arts and Crafts in Italy // The Food Edition

So I’ll be a bit frank with you. Italy was not all that hot for handmade goods. Lots of commercial things in the places we went (Rome, Milan, and Cinque Terre), and that was about it. I could have searched for more things, but after just a few days in Italy pregnancy sickness and fatigue set in rather quickly and it was all I could do to roll out of bed and feed my toddler his breakfast.

For me the first trimester always involves a complete distaste for all food (very unfortunate when visiting Italy!!) to the point of throwing up when thinking about any food. Of course, not eating also results in the throwing up, so it’s a bit loose loose. Lots of bread, water and potato chips! But in those precious few days between arriving in Italy and constantly wanting to puke, we indulged in some fantastic food!

I wanted to show it to you here to inspire you and get your taste buds activated. I know I am never my creative best on an empty stomach. ;-)

And I am sorry folks, but that’s about all this tired pregnant mama can muster up this week! Today we are flying to Budapest, and in a few weeks we’ll be into the second trimester and hopefully feeling more inspired and finding some cool handmade things!
