Carbis Project Life 2014 Week 13

Project Life 2014 week 13! There are a few good elements to this week’s layout that I’m really happy with. I’ve stuck with my usual style with printed journalling on vellum, but have added a few more embellishments to this week’s.

You can see below that I often put just one journalling card in my own hand writing, instead of having everything typed. It’s a nice way to keep it personal without sacrificing the neat, clean (easy!!) look of the typed vellum journalling. I have a few new Dear Lizzy mini kits and core kids, so I’ve been using those for the cards this week.

I also got these cool cork chevrons by Studio Calico, and they’re one of my favs!! Again wood veneer features reasonable heavily (in comparison at least) in this layout, which I love. I am always on the lookout for beautiful wood veneer!

Above: Again I’d like to reiterate how you can turn a less than perfect photo into a reasonable one just with a bit of black and white! I find it hard to tell the stories if there’s not photo to go with it, so turning it into black and white is great.

Below: This is a really simple title card. If you use roller date stamps for your dates don’t be afraid to sometimes use one with a title, and the other just the date.
