Getting to Know You :: Rachel

I noticed Amy’s post from Saturday, and realised I haven’t done a Getting to Know You post either yet, so I thought I’d jump on the bandwagon today & share a bit about me.

1.Where are you from?

I’m a country girl, born and bred. I live with my family (one husband, four children, one dog, one crazy chicken) in rural north-west NSW

2. What is your favourite craft?

Oh gosh! I don’t think I can pick! I always have so many different things going on. Maybe letterpress, at the minute?

3. How long have you been crafting?

I’ve grown up in a creative family, and crafting and creating and learning was always encouraged. I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t making “something”.

4. Do you blog?

Yes! You can find me at The Dove Nest, where I am bang smack in the middle of Blogtoberfest - a challenge to blog every day for the month of October. And you can also find me here at ASWC.

5. Do you have children?

I do! As mentioned above, I have four children - the eldest is 8, all the way down to the baby, who’s not so much a baby any more and has just celebrated his first birthday.

6. How many WIP’s/ UFO’s do you have?

Ummm….. next question please!

7. What are you working on now?

A hexie dillybag, a quilt, a cross-stitch, a crochet ripple blanket, and some new letterpress designs for my Etsy shop. I love having a variety of projects so I can craft as the whim takes me.

8. What is your favourite movie?

Love Actually, and Pride & Prejudice.

9. What is your favourite book?

So hard to pick just one! But I would say The Time Travellers Wife is my most re-read book… to the point of it falling apart.

10. What would you like to see more of on And Sew We Craft?

Well, I have some ideas, but you’ll have to wait for future posts to find out about that one! Why don’t you tell me - what would you like to see more of?
