So I meant to have this quilt finished AGES ago, but life got in the way and my crafting time dwindled dramatically. In the end I finished it just before I hopped on a plane to go to Perth.
Which I thought was actually pretty great timing.

You might remember that this is one of my Modern QAL quilts. Well Alyce gave me the idea to use 9 of the blocks to turn it into a baby quilt, so that’s what I did.
I intend to use it as a playmat for the baby because we have tiles through out the house so a nice squishy quilt is just the thing to soften the floor a bit.
I had intended to bind the quilt in a grey solid fabric. I remember putting it in a safe place a little while ago, but do you think I can remember where that safe place is?? Nope, so instead I used an orange kona solid and I think it matches nicely with the backing that I used.
Now all I need is the baby that will play on it! I’ll be sure to post an updated picture of that.
