Scrapbooking With Kids: Front Pages

Oh man, it was so exciting to see my kids get excited about scrapbooking! My daughter had been the one mostly excited about finally getting to crack into the beautiful supplies I bought for them, but my son was just as excited to get started as she was. In fact, more so, because she tantrum-ed about not being able to use the paper pad as the actual scrapbook for about ten minutes… But once we got past that, it was great! I made no choices whatsoever for them - I made some suggestions and gave them some ideas both verbally and by showing them some of my pages, but they were the ones to do the cutting and gluing and make the final choices.

Jonathan has quite the eye for placing his products! The only thing I suggested for his page was overlapping the scraps of paper to the right of his photo. Everything else? His idea! Isabelle was the one who was choosing green stickers to match the tree in the photo, and pinky red to match the scooter. Already matching colours, so proud! She decided to reverse the ‘E’s because she didn’t like how this font has a large gap between the top 2 strokes… fair enough!

They’ve made a start on a couple more pages, so I’ll share those later too!
