December Daily 2015 Plans

I absolutely LOVED doing December Daily last year! I think it was the most fun memory keeping projects I have ever done! I loved playing and experimenting and embellishing. I love looking back at my quite-full album even now, sighing with pleasure over all the little details I put into it.

December Daily Trim the Tree

One main reason why I love it so much, is because it was finished so promptly, mostly kept up to date along the way (especially printing photos) and finished completely by mid-January. But this year, I know that my life is a bit busier, and that I really, truly want a finished album as soon as possible, no matter what. This means I need it to be more simple.

In terms of supplies, I have my December Daily mini kit (with the album ordered but yet to come, sigh!), and some leftover supplies from last year to use up too. I’m going to add in some white grid card, and that’s it. I want to set up foundation pages again, because it actually did help last year. I was flexible with it, shifting around a bit or changing the page protector, but the creative constraints really did work.

What I want to really document this year is the stories. Not focusing so much on the daily anecdotes (although I still plan on doing at least one daily photo), but to capture the stories by including more words. And I’m thinking that will mean incorporating more digital aspects, like digital stamps or typing out stories - either onto cards and papers, or even onto photos! That digital aspect is something new for me, but I think it may work better for me and my workflow. So that as I’m going through the photos to print off, I can quickly edit with some words or adding a digital stamp. And then it’s printed and done, with no “pressure” to add any further embellishment.

And of course, I’ll be sharing my process on here, so you will be able to see what ends up happening with these grand plans, ha! Now to wait impatiently for my album to arrive…
