A little while ago scratch that, a LONG while ago my eldest son C asked me to make him a minecraft blanket. So we looked at a few different themes and settled on a minecraft pixel crochet blanket of a creeper and I got to work. It was that long ago that I hadn’t even crocheted a granny square before so just made the squares in double crochet (DC or treble). I made about 10 squares and then it got put in the cupboard and forgotten about. He’s asked a few times over the last few months if I had done any work on it and honestly I hadn’t BUT it’s his birthday is less than a month and I’d love to get it finished in time so I thought I’d share it here to keep me accountable.
So all the details are:
Pattern: Minecraft Creeper Blanket
Yarn: A mix of all the 8 ply greens, greys and black I had in my stash.
Hook: 4.0mm

So were you able to complete the blanket? My nephew is OBSESSED with Minecraft and I am trying to find the BEST looking blanket to get an idea of what to go with. I’d LOVE to see your finished product!
Unfortunately (and embarrassingly) I haven’t, but it’s close! I’m going to surprise him with it for Christmas. I’ll hopefully have progress to share on the blog in the next few weeks.
