Hi there, welcome to my craft space. I say space as that’s what it is. My sewing room became the baby’s room almost 2 years ago. Although the cupboards are still used to store all my fabrics and supplies, I basically work where I can and at the moment that is on the dining table. I know I’m not alone here, are you nodding with me?
I dream of the day I can have a whole room of craftiness but for now I set my cutting mat up on the end of the dining with the sewing machine along side it. Things do end up on top of things a bit but I try to keep each project in a clear box so I can see whats in it. There isn’t a lot of natural light but that’s ok as I’m still lucky enough to have space to do what I love.
I’ve recently sorted out my scraps into colours and love these decor containers for storing them. I borrowed this idea from my friend Emma. I need to relocate all of this and some to give Sammy his room all to himself. I’m not sure how it will end up but I hope to find a small lockable cupboard that I can fit it all into.
Where do you craft? How do you store your supplies? I’d love some ideas on storage in a small space.

Hi fellow dining table crafter! I really should go and clean mine up so we’ll have somewhere to eat dinner…

I am lucky enough to craft in our second living area. With no children at home, I am able to use the built-in bookshelf for fabric and I have two tables for my machine and cutting. Thankfully we already had a tv in the room and I do share the space with the desktop computer so I have my husband’s company occasionally. I am very lucky.
