Where We Craft :: The Barefoot Crafter

I have shared my craft room a couple of times before, both here on And Sew We Craft (and from 2012), and over on my own site, and with a few bits and pieces evolving over time, as they do, I wanted to share an updated studio tour as part of the Where We Craft 2015 craft room series.

Above - the main event!! My big grey storage cupboard, custom built buy my dad to my specs, for storing scrapbooking, Barefoot Letterpress stock, camera gear & photography business supplies, journals/notebooks, fabric, WIPs, and general office stationery. Right next to it is the kid’s craft desk I upcycled (but will probably get rid of soon-ish! And I haven’t even blogged it yet.)

The business end of proceedings - my computer (complete with screen saver slideshow of photos from our recent roadtrip) and admin centre, the grey cupboard, and a few pretties - mini quilt given by a friend in a swap, mini canvases painted by me, and two mixed media canvases on the left, on by me and one gifted by a friend.tbcstudio2

And the creative half - this is where I get messy!! My pegboard with all my tools, a slimline cabinet (also custom built by my dad) for my art supplies, my very well loved & stained work table (the carpet is a bit more well loved since that original table post too!), and shelves for storage. And that little pile to the far right is what’s left of my immediate WIP pile that I hope to tackle this weekend.

I do also have a video coming, complete with my croaky, almost-have-a-cold, huff-and-puff voice providing commentary, and will come back and update this post as soon as it finishes uploading to YouTube. If you have any questions about how or why I do things with my storage, leave a note in the comments!
