Quick And Easy Easter Basket

Quick-Easy-Easter-Basket

This quick and easy Easter basket will literally only take a couple of minutes and is super kid-friendly, letting their creativity go wild!

What you will need:
1 - large piece of card (I used A3)
Stapler, scissors, pencil
Decorating gear - washi tape, stickers, textas, whatever!

Step 1. Draw 1 long line at the bottom of the page, and 4 shorter lines above to create an ‘I’ outline. The shorter lines should be the same distance apart from each other breaking the page into ninths.

Step 2. Cut along the lines, creating one long strip (your handle) and 6 “tabs”. Fold those tabs into the centre, overlapping. Fold the outer tabs into the middle to create a square.

Step 3. Use the fold lines to create an open box, folding in the outer flaps. Staple the handle on to each side where you have 3 layers of card so as to hold it all together.

Step 4. Decorate! I used washi tape to cover the staples and create pop of interest. Kids can go nuts with stickers, textas, whatever!

Step 5. Find those Easter eggs!

  1. That IS so simple to make! :) I’ve heard so much about washi tape but have yet to actually taken a look at it in real life. Is it all that it’s cracked up to be? I know I would use it to decorate like crazy or when I wrap my presents.

    • It really is! The best bit is it’s removable - so you can take it off or move what you taped without destroying it or the tape.
