It’s July 1 already! Which means that it is time to share block 3 of the Modern Blocks Quilt a Long! This month’s block is Megan’s Star and the tutorial will be up over at Samelia’s Mum later today.

If you have the Modern Blocks book, Megan’s Star is found on page 113. The instructions in the book are very straight forward and this block comes together quickly.

But if you do have trouble don’t forget that Anorina will be sharing a tutorial over at Samelia’s Mum very very soon It’s up NOW!

But in the meantime here is one of my blocks, remember I am making two blocks each month. One using solids and one using Little Apples by Aneela Hoey.

Here is my solids block.

My solids block looks very different from the one in the book. I did stray a bit from the cutting instructions as shown below.

The instructions in the book asks for 2 different colours for the corner triangle blocks, but I chose to do them all the same colour.

I am posting about my Little Apples Block later today over at Actually Amy.

And I will be announcing the sponsor for this months blocks later today. So don’t forget to come back and link up!
