Do you ever just wake up in the morning and think, “I’m going to make a quilt today”?
I did. This morning.
After 2.5 weeks of school holidays, I was glad to drop the kids off at school, come home and play with fabric and my sewing machine - all day.
I have friends who are due to have baby boys in the next few months, so I have an excuse to make baby quilts.
Boy quilts are a little difficult for me and my stash. I have a lot of girlie colours and florals which aren’t suitable so when I find fabric which is suitable for boys, I grab it.
For this quilt, I’ve used “Mind your P’s and Q’s” by Keiki for Moda Fabrics. I have a couple of layer cakes, ready for future boy quilts.
Now that it’s quilted and trimmed, I just need to sew on the binding. I do love a project which I can start and complete in a day.
So tell me, do you ever wake up with the urge to make a quilt?
