So the last time I shared my craft space it looked like this:
I had a WHOLE room to myself and man I miss that!
But right now I currently use small sections of my small house to store my craft supplies and mainly craft on the dining room table. I think that’s why I’ve been doing a lot of crochet lately because I can do it anywhere and it doesn’t take up much space.
So here is a tour of where I craft at present-
B’s currently converting an IKEA wardrobe into a sewing cupboard for me. You can see in the below (and very messy) photo of the inside of the cupboard where he has built a table/shelf inside. He is going to be putting a pull out shelf on top of that and my sewing machine will sit in there and I’ll be able to sew small projects there and I won’t have to continue to take over the dining table all the time. I’ll only have to do that when I’m quilting or binding a quilt. Of course I’ll have to clean up my mess before he can finish this cupboard. But he’s actually in Perth at the moment and a trip to bunnings to buy supplies to finish it is on this to do list. So hopefully in a few weeks I’ll be able to share my full functional (and organised) sewing cupboard.
On top of the cupboard are three baskets. One holds scrapbooking supplies and the other two hold fabric scraps.
I’ve also got an expedit in the corner of our living room. It holds fabric and journaling/scrapbooking supplies plus the kids pencil caddy.
Then we have my (very messy) corner of the dining room…
And of course the dining table
And finally my computer area where I also store my Silhouette Cameo and various other supplies on the shelf behind my monitor.
Not photographed is the 4 storage tubs under my bed. I thought I could spare everyone that photo….
So where do you craft? Do you have a room to yourself or are you a dining table (and whole house) crafter like me?
If you want to share your space with us you can do so here and they will be featured on the blog soon.
