I asked my kids last month what they wanted to give their teachers for gifts this year and they all told me that they would think about it and get back to me. Then I promptly forgot about it too, that was until late last week when I released that they only had a week left of school for the year and that I needed to get something organised ASAP!
So I showed the kids some boxy pouches and they jumped on that idea. I used this tutorial- It’s really clear and easy to follow. I’d never made one before and now I’ve made 6 in the space of 3 days with plans to make more very soon.
We decided to fill the pouches with stationery and chocolate, because what teacher doesn’t need stationery?!?
The kids picked out the fabrics for the pouches. And I must say, they did a good job. Ethan had to pick three different sets, and that boy has an eye for colour 😉
For their full time class teachers we also framed a sweet print the was made by the lovely ladies at Eighteen 25. You can find it here: http://eighteen25.com/2012/08/print-what-i-like-most-about-my/
All the gifts were very well received. I even got a hug from one teacher, so I’m pretty pleased with that.
