a quick flannel baby blanket

As you can imagine, my brain isn’t heading away from making baby things any time soon.

For weeks now, I’ve been trying to make a minky/cotton backed blanket. I pinned and pinned and sewed and sewed and pinned some more, and was ending up in a bigger, wonkier mess than I started, so I threw in the towel and whipped up a flannel blanket instead.

I actually bought this flannel for a different project, but didn’t read the instructions right through and didn’t have enough, so a cute warm blanket was born. I didn’t even need to pin the pieces together before sewing!

any tips for sewing with minky?
