Just for fun this year I started on the free Craftsy Block of the Month. It is the first class I’ve signed up for with Craftsy but I love that I can go in at any time and watch the video, read the notes and make my blocks. Today I thought I’d share the first few blocks with you.

Craftsy BOM 2013 January block

The Block of the Month started in January with this Log Cabin. I love this block! I was so happy with the combination of colours and fabrics.

Craftys BOM 2013 February block

When I made the February block I really wasn’t sure that I liked it but it has grown on my a little over time.

The March block is called the Economy Block and while mine has slightly different fabric placement to the example in the tutorial but I like it.

The April block was a Dresden plate - a block I had not been brave enough to try before.

The May block was actually a set of 8 blocks made all from combinations of the same fabric. They are called Spool Blocks.

They look great! I signed up for it too, but I haven’t made a single block yet. But I guess that is the beauty of craftsy, I can start whenever!

Your blocks are fantastic! I love your fabric choice (I noticed I have a few of them in my stash!). Like Amy, I signed up too, but haven’t yet made a single block! It’s something I would like to go back and do (particularly after seeing your blocks!) when I get through a few more pressing projects.
